subject: Orchard survey shows that CEOs expect business climate to improve in 2010 [print this page]

A recent survey of CEOs showed that 88% of business leaders expect 2010 to be a better year for their businesses than 2009. The survey also showed that whilst 2009 was a difficult year for most, 75% of CEOs felt that they had learned some useful lessons from the recession. It appears that the worst is over for many CEOs and only 19% expect to have to cut costs further during 2010. Nevertheless, only 38% expect to be less stressed this year and only 31% expect their work/life balance to be better in 2010. The survey was conducted recently by Orchard Growth Partners at a CEO Clinic run by Directorzone at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where Ash Mehta, CEO of Orchard Growth Partners gave a presentation titled The recovery starts here: key points in preparing your business in 2010. The presentation drew key points on preparing for recovery from the Orchard Growth Advent Calendar which provided daily tips during December 2009.
