subject: Pa System Solves Problems At A Multipurpose Public Park [print this page]

When a local country club went bankrupt, it was taken over by the local government for use as a public park. The issue of the park's PA systems wasn't anticipated by the new owners. The park purchased a portable PA system for outdoor sports events such as swim meets and tennis tournaments. People renting the banquet hall in the club for conferences, weddings and other events were allowed to use the portable PA System if it was available, or they could bring their own equipment. A series of of outdoor concerts, called Summer Night, were held on the lawn and initially used a rented system. The sound quality of the first few concerts drew many complaints but little remedial action.

Everything changed when a bomb threat was received. The banquet hall hosted a conference on a topic that infuriated a local hot head. After the conference goers were quickly evacuated, park officials realized that attendees of an ongoing tennis tournament might also be at risk. The bomb threat turned out to be a hoax. Much confusion and delay surrounded the evacuations of the crowd in the bleachers at the ten tennis courts. The local government absorbed a lot of criticism from the media after they got a hold of the bungled evacuation story. The pressure of the story brought about a quick decision to purchase a TOA PA System.

All indoor and outdoor concert and sporting events now have high quality sound thanks to the new TOA System. With the PA Systems software control, each park facility now gets sound and information tailored to their needs. The entire park is covered by the PA network, including the outdoor concert area, parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pool, and all indoor rooms of the building. The digital technology has brought excellent sound quality to the outdoor concert area and the banquet hall.

The TOA System has shown its merits while supporting live music events and delivering public announcements. As part of an economic development plan to increase tourism, the local government recently held a three day music festival at the park which proved the value of the PA Systems. Audiences in the thousands attended live jazz, rock, pop, and classical music concerts. The TOA System was a brilliant solution for the park's multiple uses and for crowd control as well.
