Network configuration and management in AIX
VIO client partitions management and configuration
Device management
Storage management
Manage system resources using HMC and SDMC
Perform user administration tasks (such as limiting resources, creating/using groups, etc).
Strong knowledge of system backup and recovery
AIX installation and maintenance skills
System security configuration and management
Use NIM, WPAR Manager and Systems Director (base product)
Understand PowerVM components such as AME, AMS, Shared Processor Pools, etc.
