When I first walked them together, their objectives were the opposite of mine. Yet through research and observation, they have become both well-behaved and loving dogs.

Search the web, visit amazon.com or ask your veterinarian about recommended sources to learn about the various characteristics of your breed.

The more you know, the easier your training will be. You will understand what makes your dog different. What his genetic disposition is. And how to maximize your training time together.

In the end, remember that training was not your dogs idea. You need to make the process as enjoyable as possible. Be lavish with praise and positive reinforcement.

You will move your dog faster toward the behavior you seek. And you will find the unconditional love they give you and your family one of the joys of daily life.
