When jogging on the treadmill, interchange jogging and sprinting. Next time you're on the treadmill crank up the speed as fast as you can go without hurting yourself and sprint as long as you can. Then slow it back down to a decent jog and recover. Once you feel recovered crank the speed back up and sprint for a short distance.

The much more intense activity of sprinting will increase your metabolism much more than jogging alone, which means more fat burning. Plus there's the added benefit of strengthening your heart and lungs more as well. Whenever you're doing an exercise, ask yourself how you could make it a little more intense. When you do you'll find that you achieve better results in a shorter amount of time.
