1-stop Enrollment Pilot Announced By U.s., Netherlands For Expedited Trusted Traveler Program

Through the Fast Low-Risk Universal Crossing (FLUX) program

, five "one-stop shop" joint enrollment centers were established in the United States and the Netherlands as a test initiative. As announced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, applications to the Global Entry and Privium Trusted Traveler programs can be made by the travelers at any of the five "one-stop shop" joint enrollment centers.

In partnership with the government of Netherlands, the government of U.S. took up an initiative and established the Fast Low-Risk Universal Crossing (FLUX) program to accelerate international travel. International travel for low-risk travelers, who have already registered themselves, has been expedited by setting up an automated border passage program.

In the course of the trial enrollment period, the U.S. and Dutch citizens over 14 years of age can enroll themselves in the U.S. Global Entry and Dutch Privium programs through the FLUX enrollment program, provided they hold a valid machine-readable passport and comply with a background screening. In order to participate in the FLUX program, the U.S. citizens should get the Global Entry membership and following that they must also be approved for the Dutch Privium program.

Piloted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the automated Global Entry program is currently active at 20 major airports in the U.S. U.S. citizens who are interested in applying for Global Entry must file with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection after which they should undergo a background check and an interview.

Joint enrollment centers were formerly functional only at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. Now, the U.S. and Dutch citizens who have applied for the Global Entry and Privium program can complete their Privium interview with an officer of the Royal Dutch Marechaussee and their Global Entry interview with a CBP officer at the new locations available.
