10 Best Natural Home Remedies For Curing Bad Breath

Halitosis, or more popularly known as bad breath

, is a condition when an unpleasant odor emits out from the oral cavity of a person. It has become a very common ailment. Many home remedies have been passed on from generation to generation. 1. In 2 cups of water, add several sprigs of coarsely chopped parsley so that it steeps in water. Add 2 to 3 whole cloves or a tsp of powdered cloves. Strain this mixture and use it as a mouth wash.

2. Calcium, phosphorous, vitamins A and D help to keep the mouth healthy, while vitamin C prevents bleeding of the gums. Your daily diet should include citrus and other fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, milk and mill products, like youghurt and cottage cheese and unrefined cereals. Food that you can eat raw, like fresh fruits, salads and sprouts, not only cleanse the teeth. but also help to exercise the gums and teeth, because they have to be chewed.

3. Take an acidophilus and bifidobacteria supplement daily to establish and maintain favorable intestinal flora and healthy digestion. If you are allergic to milk, select a dairy-free product.

4. You can make up a lemon mixture that is sipped all day and is reported to make a good cure for bad breath. Take one fresh lemon and add a little sugar to the juice from it. Add a pinch of salt and then dilute it with water.

5. Chewing raw green guava is helpful in curing bad breath. It would serve very helpful in treating halitosis.

6. When you brush your teeth, use dental floss between the teeth. Mouthwashes and rinses can also help. Clean your tongue as well. A coated lounge can sometimes cause bad breath.

7. Sometimes bad breath is a result of poor stomach function. To strengthen the gastrointestinal tract, you may want to try taking duodenal extract with vitamin A as directed on the product label. This is one of the best bad breath cure.

8. You can make a natural gargle that will rid you of bad breath by taking 3 parts of fresh peppermint leaves to 2 parts of water. You then grind this mixture in a blender until you have a thick liquid. Gargle one cup of this mixture every day for an entire week.

9. Rinsing the mouth with baking soda helps in solving the problem of halitosis. Mix baking soda in a cup of water. Gargle with this water.

10. Chlorophyll tablets help freshen the breath because they have a cleansing effect in the intestines. Take a chlorophyll supplement, as directed on the product label, after each meal and again at bedtime.
