10 Of The Best: Creative Advertising Campaigns

Ads are everywhere these days, you would be lucky to go 5 minutes without seeing one somewhere. So how do you advertise your offering and get noticed, well that's easy, you just got to be a little creative!

I know, easier said than done but to give you some inspiration, here are some of my favourite offline ad campaigns:

"Hey, City That Never Sleeps. Wake up."

This ad in New York shows a picture of a coffee cup placed over a steaming manhole cover, giving the illusion of a steaming hot cup of coffee right there in the middle of the road. The ad was created for Folgers Coffee by Saatchi & Saatchi.

"The Sexy Shopping Bag"

This ad certainly garnered a lot of attention; which is exactly what the lingerie retailer wanted when creating this bag.

"Plastic Surgery Ad on Cups"

An old one but it had great impact when it came out. It was created by DDB in Toronto.

"Hoover Vacuum' Cleaners Demonstration"

This is a great ad indicating the strength of suction from Hoovers range of Vacuum cleaners. This idea came from students at The Miami Ad School.

"Shelter for the Homeless ad on bins"

This one comes from Portugal where Vitae Shelters came up with an ad to make people give a thought for the homeless when they got to put there bins out.

"Don't Drink and Drive!"

Don't drink and drive is the message here! Pretty inventive, when you open the bottle you crumple the bottle top and the image of the car. Drink and drive and that's how your car will end up; simple message.

"The Ultra Slim' Sony Cyber-Shot T1 falls through the gap"

Sony came up with this effective and cheap ad for The Ultra Slim' Cyber-Shot T1 Camera. You can just imagine that this would of got a fair few people tugging the strap!

"How good is the Leica Cameras Zoom? Take a look for your self!"

Staying on the camera theme, how about this one promoting Leica cameras and its 12x optical zoom. This was created by Young & Rubicam a Swiss based agency.

"Ever wanted to be on the front cover of Playboy?"

How about this campaign from Playboy; giving out these beach towels so sunbathers can promote their magazine by posing on the front cover.

"Life's too short for the wrong job!"

Here is a great compilation to finish with, and somewhat appropriate. Don't get stuck in the wrong job regretting not doing what you really wanted too. This ad was that of the German jobsite jobsintown.de'.
