Step #1: Keep fit and live a healthy life style.
There is absolutely nothing that will do more good for you in terms of becoming vibrantly healthy and balanced, energetic, and youthful than a regular fitness plan. Create a well-rounded plan that incorporates strength training, aerobics, and stretching... Rest and sleep, pure water, clean fresh air, ample amounts of sunshine, and fresh wholesome foods are all essential elements to vibrant health... A whole-food, plant-based diet has been shown to be the best for radiant well being and youthful vitality...
Step #2: Learn to produce a relaxation response.
Stress stems from quite a few sources and taxes our nervous systems. Extreme environmental stimulation -- noise, traffic, and especially commercial advertising -- leads to stress. Unexpressed negative emotions are stressors, as well... Becoming deeply relaxed in mind and body is something which we must work at. Discover deep relaxation techniques, like meditation, visualization, yoga exercise, stretching, and breathing exercises, so that your stress levels will be under control.
Step #3: Find time every day to be alone, visualize, and meditate.
Take pleasure in the tranquility of your own company. By investing time alone, breathing deeply, and quieting your daily thoughts, it is easy to tremendously boost your well being, happiness, and tranquility of mind. Silence nourishes your soul and heals your heart. Commit a few minutes daily visualizing, not only your goals, but also how you would prefer your life to be... Meditation establishes a quiet, dynamic mind.
Step #4: Simplify life and slow down.
Find joy in basic pleasures. Inhale and exhale deeply, smell the flowers, talk to the animals, invest time with a horse, sing with the birds, be with good friends, greet the sun, scratch behind your dog's or kitty's ear, and make somebody smile. Marvel at the miracle you are, tell somebody you love them, and laugh out loudoften!... Don't take your self and life so seriously. Chuckle and smile more and play at this game of life. Laughter is one of the finest ways to quell stress; it's an elixir for the soul...
Step #5: Nurture and develop your intuition.
Intuition is sometimes known as a hunch, going on instinct, an inner-knowing, or a sixth sense. Whatever you call it, intuition can be nurtured in a wide variety of ways -- in contemplation, relaxing your mind, or by taking strolls in nature. Be still and listen. The more we act on our intuitive hunches, the stronger and more readily available they become...
Step #6: Embrace an attitude of gratitude.
The single most important inner characteristic for happiness is gratitude. So be grateful for every little thing that's going on in youre life, no matter the circumstances. This sort of attitude will help foster happiness and tranquility of mind, and help you in living more fully. Gratitude is a dynamic spiritual energy that allows you to exert a powerful influence on your world... Keep a gratitude journal. Every day write aminimum of three things for which you are grateful, and you will discover that your blessings increase.
Step #7: Become more childlike.
Young children instinctively know how to celebrate life. Be more flexible, practice forgiveness, and leave time for spontaneity in daily activities. Choose to be much less critical and judgmental. Let faith and trust light your path and invite joy to be your constant companion. And remember to let your inner child come out to play...
Step #8: Learn to live in the present.
Today is a new day. There is no other day like today. It is unique and special. It is also an chance to begin anew, to experience a clean slate, a new beginning in this very moment. Living in the moment is distinct from living for the moment. Don't compare the present with the past. Be totally present every single moment -- be conscious -- and free your self from the past... The more you breathe slowly and deeply, and concentrate on your breath as you breathe in and exhale, the easier it becomes to "be" in the present moment.
Step #9: Share your love and kindness.
Being loving and kind enhances well being. We all need love -- and I'm not just talking about romantic attraction. The warm, loving sensation you get from hugging a child, counseling a close friend, being a good listener, or even treating your self to a luxurious bubble bath or a day at the spa, will boost your self-esteem and your immune system. To be loving and kind to others, you need to first be loving and kind to your self... Be your own very best friend. From that friendship all your various relationships form. A satisfied, prosperous life flows from the inside out.
Step #10: Live peacefully and nourish your spirit.
What would be a better aim in life than tranquility of mind? What asset could be of more value than unshakable calmness and tranquility? There is no better proof of spiritual strength than a peaceful mind and a happy heart. To create more tranquility in your life, turn within. We need to sometimes disconnect from the outer world, so that we can reconnect with the lovethe Divinitythat's constantly within us. Love is who we are. And when we are loving ourselves, by taking proper care of ourselves, and by living a well balanced life, we are loving God... You exercise your spiritual strength every single time you do something new, whether starting a health and fitness plan, entering into a business venture, or awakening to a new day...
