out a rugged handheld RFID reader/writer designed for industrial and outdoor environments found in field services, direct store delivery, retail, warehouse and manufacturing applications. It is especially useful for information collection, management and transmission. The read/write unit includes an LCD screen with touch panel, 22-key interface, audio control (output), SD slot, IC card slot. It supports GPRS voice and data transfer and also features Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

This contactless RFID reader/writer, model 243002, is finished with a rugged industrial standard housing yet remains light-weight and reasonable sized. An IP54 protection rating makes it resistant to shock and dust and ensures highly accurate operation. It uses an IntelPXA255 processor and offers a maximum read distance of up to 8cm depending on the RFID tag used. In addition, the high frequency RFID reader/writer runs under WinCE5.0 operating system and complies with ISO15693 and ISO14443A/B standards.
