2.45 GHz Active RFID USB Reader for Asset Tracking

Toronto, Canada GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is offering its 2.45 GHz active RFID USB reader which is specially designed for many applications such as personnel tracking, logistics, warehouse management, closed loop asset tracking, and high value asset tracking.

The 2.45 GHz active RFID USB reader, model217003, uses a standard USB 2.0 interface to connect to any USB enabled computer device and provides a read range of 15 to 20 m with a built in Omni-directional antenna. The reader uses advanced 0.18 m CMOS IC technology for ultra-low power consumption.

The active USB reader operates in two different modes. In 'Direct' mode the USB reader transfers its data to the host system in real time. In 'Buffer' mode the reader can store its last 100 received messages and uploads them only when requested by the host system. It has a high data rate of 2. In addition, its ABS housing makes it suitable for use in any environment.

This 2.45 GHz active RFID USB reader belongs to GAO's family of 2.45 GHz Active RFID Readers. This line also includes 2.45 GHz Gain Adjustable Active RFID Reader which can adjust the identification distance from less than 5 meters to 100 meters according to actual situations in order to make identification more accurate and 2.45 GHz Gain Adjustable Active RFID WiFi Reader which uses WiFi (802.11b wireless communication standard) for data transmission to a host system.
