2 Ways To Become The One
There's a fairy-tale quality surrounding the idea of being "The One
," a sense of destiny permeating the whole concept. But why leave your entire love life up to fate?
You will never be "The One" for every guy you meet no matter what you do, but you can put in a little active effort to ensure you always make an impression and that when you meet the right guy, he'll consider you his everything.
Be beautiful on the outside.
No one really likes to admit this fact despite its obviousness, but it's easier to love a beautiful woman than an unattractive woman.
The idea "It's what's inside that counts" is nice, but in the real world, it doesn't tell the whole story. As a man, I'm telling you it's just plain difficult to love a woman if you don't melt a little bit every time you look at her.
I know, I know, this sounds incredibly shallow and unfair. After all, some women seem to have won the genetic lottery and enjoy classical bone structure and a host of blessed aesthetic genetics.
This you-have-it-or-you-don't attractiveness isn't the type of physical beauty I'm talking about. When I talk about beauty, I'm basically talking about two things:
1. You take care of your health.
A healthy body is naturally attractive. Good health manifests itself in attractive hair, skin, nails, eyes, lips and an ideal hip-to-waist ratio, all of which are biological markers that uncontrollably spark attraction.
And in case you were wondering, a woman's "healthy body" tends to look a lot more like a classical hourglass figure than a modern runway, underfed, matchstick physique.
2. You dress well.
You don't need to wear the hottest fashions and you don't need to spend a small fortune on clothes, but you do need to wear ensembles that fit you, that flatter your personal body type and that match your coloring.
The
specifics of your style depends on your personal taste, but no matter what aesthetic tribe you belong to, you should always wear clothes that work with what you've got.
Maintaining your health and dressing in a flattering manner is all you need to appear beautiful. In other words, every woman in the world can be beautiful, regardless of what she pulled in the genetic lottery.
Be beautiful on the inside.
When it comes to becoming
"The One," your physical attractiveness is nothing more than your foot in the door. If you're a miserable person on the inside no man will ever let you become his one-and-only for very long.
Inner beauty is hard to quantify and define in objective terms. We can look to biology and anthropology to determine what physical traits human males uncontrollably respond to, but the inner terrain of male-female relationships plays out a little more ambiguously.
Yet even though I don't have any sort of scientific backing for these statements, there are a pair of characteristics I think appear in every occurrence of the sort of inner beauty that men want to find in their "One," both of which can be cultivated and multiplied.
Kindness
Everyone can be mean sometimes but men find reflexively kind women very attractive, women who would rather help someone up when they slip and fall than laugh at them.
Passion
It doesn't really matter what a woman is passionate about, as long as she feels a strong inner fire. Whether it's for dancing ballet or performing neurosurgery, a woman who cares fiercely about something greater than herself is going to bring that fire to her relationships.
I could go down the list and point out more attractive character traits, but overall if you cultivate your physical beauty, your kindness and your passion, then you may find too many men consider you "The One."
