The hybrid engine was a 5.7 liter engine which produced 340 horsepower, which is an impressive figure for a hybrid SUV. The Aspen Hybrid made a drastic impact on fuel efficiency. Early estimates projected that the Aspen Hybrid had 25% improved fuel efficiency on the highway and 40% improved fuel efficiency in the city.
