Easter arrangements and party planning can be a lot of fun especially if you have kids still fascinated by dying eggs and hunting for them later. Planning activities for kids before and on Easter can be a challenge though because you need to find something that kids of all ages can enjoy.

Easter egg dying is something that even grownups like to do but while toddlers will simply be dying them one or two colors, grown ups will want to do more. Needless to say that they wouldn't mind a nice healthy egg decorating contest either. Older children might not want a competition but they'd definitely want to get more creative with their egg decorating. The point is you can't have a great day of Easter egg dying with just food colors. To make things easier on yourself and to help the kids decorate their eggs, go online and look for pictures of decorated eggs. Try and get as much of the material used in small quantities for everyone to use. Take a few tutorials online and teach the kids how to decorate a really great egg and then let them use their imagination. Teach them to use the different materials you've provided.

Make the egg hunt for the younger kids really simple, and reward them well for finding the eggs. In addition to candy and chocolate, you can give them chocolate fruit like chocolate covered strawberries and dipped pineapples.

The grownups deserve something special to eat too on Easter and candy and chocolate won't be enough so when you go out to buy Easter gift baskets, pick up some nice Easter fruit baskets or fresh fruit bouquets. Fruit baskets with whole fruits are nice but a fruit bouquet can also be used a centerpiece for the brunch and they make excellent Easter desserts as well.

Easter costume parties are another creative way to add fun to the party. Ask your guests to either dress up in different costumes or to just accessorize with things like feathered hats, bunny ears and tails, chicken wings and more. You can even use things like a shepherd's outfit and other similar things to create more fun. The decorations can revolve around this theme as well; take eggs (fake or real) and make them into different characters. There are a lot of tutorials available online to help make this easy. If you use fake plastic eggs, you can save your decorations for next year as well.
