2012 Hyundai Elnatra Fluidic, More Details Emerge

Hyundai Motors India is all set to launch the Hyundai Elantra Fluidic sedan in the Indian car market by the month of August 2012

. This is the best selling model of Hyundai Motors in the global markets; however in India the car could not do well and hence was phased out. However, the company is thinking to launch the car again in India bestowed with Hyundai"s fluidic design. Hyundai Elantra Fluidic which is also known as Avante in many auto markets flaunts the fluidic design philosophy, this design makes the car look chic and plush way more different from what the earlier version use to look. The front grille of the Elantra sedan will be stylish and thick attracting attention. Apart from the looks of Hyundai Elantra, the sedan will also come with top quality interiors and a host of innovative features.

Hyundai Elantra India premium sedan will be launched in both petrol and diesel guise. Diesel powered variant has become extremely important for the Indian car market, launching only petrol version will not be a good option for any of the car maker which is bringing a new model to the domestic market. India however, is the first auto market which will be bestowed with the diesel variant of Hyundai Elantra which is sold only in petrol version in global markets. It is one of the best selling sedans in the US car market. The diesel variant will be equipped with a 1.6 litre CRDI turbo diesel mill which is currently powering Hyundai Verna diesel.

The engine is capable of producing a high power of 126 Bhp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The engine is known for its tremendous refinement however, one can encounter turbo lag. The petrol engine Hyundai Elantra will be powered with a 1.8 litre petrol engine with direct injection technology that enables to generate a maximum power figure of 148 bhp along with a peak torque of 180 Nm which brings it in the league of one of the most power packed performer in the D-segment cars in India. Skoda Laura sedan is yet another powerful D-segment saloon which also comes powered with a 1.8 litre TSI motor. The petrol as well as diesel engine will come mated to a six speed manual transmission and automatic transmission.

As per the recent report buzzing in the Indian car market, Hyundai Elantra Fluidic will come with a soft suspension set up. As far as the safety features of the car is concerned, the sedan will be equipped with ESP, 6 airbags, ABS and hill hold control. Cruise control will also be available in the sedan which would make it a viable sedan to drive on highways. Here is a list of some of the key features that would be available in the 2012 Hyundai Elantra premium saloon. Features like automatic head lamps, ventilated front seats, dual zone climate control, power assisted front seats, smart key for keyless entry, push button start, cooled glove box, rear parking sensors with rear view mirror mounted camera. Other featured include power assist for wing mirrors with heating function, rear AC vents, steering mounted audio controls etc.

Hopefully the upgraded version of 2012 Hyundai Elantra Fluidic sedan will be able to make an impression in the Indian car market. The fluidic design coupled with a set of advanced features might do the trick for the sedan. As far as Hyundai Elantra price is concerned, there is no clue given by the car maker on it.
