$250 For The Brand New Wii U Gamepad And $100 For Every Single Game Title
As early as now, you really can't consider all the pricing information about the yet-to-be-released Wii U GamePad as legitimate
. There are countless information online claiming the actual price and release date of the new gaming hardware. However, Nintendo has clearly denied all of these speculations and advised everyone to stand by for more official updates in the future.
If you would search for the brand new console online now, you will find different online retailers preselling the new GamePad. Some are accepting pre-orders for as low as $250 and some pre-sell it for as high as $750.
In the most recent E3 gaming event, the Japanese gaming company has proclaimed that the new system will be released by the end of the year. That leaves us all guessing between November and December for the launching of the new hardware.
They also did not reveal the actual price of the GamePad to play safe. A few years ago, the company had to slash of $80 on the 3DS a few months after it was released. The 3DS was originally priced at $250 which most consumers found relatively high. That prompted the company to bring the price down to $170 later on just to boost the sales. This time, they want to make sure the new console will be reasonably priced.
Aside from the new GamePad, online retailers have uploaded several pre-order listing on their websites for its upcoming games. Each title is being presold for at least $100 which is higher than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games which only cost around $60.
With dual functionality and higher definition graphics, the new gaming system will surely be worth it. Although the price tag of $100 for each game being posted online right now is fictitious, it is pretty much expected.
Most online sellers come up with fictitious prices for yet-to-be-released products and adjust it later on when the actual price has been announced. That way, they will be able to attract more customers to buy from them first, even for pre-orders.
A lot of die hard gamers and die-hard fans want to be the first to own the new gaming console. I guess that explains why so many online retailers keep doing what they do just to sell.
Nintendo did the right thing when they decided not to announce the price for the Wii U just yet. That way, they will still be able to make changes and last-minute improvements as needed.
This will also be the best time to correct any imperfections on the new system before it comes out. At the same time, they will still be able to adjust the final price of the new console before it is officially launched in the market.
The Japanese gaming company is also coming up with new titles for the 3DS this year. That way, 3DS owners will have something new to look forward to as well. The company has not announced much about the actual game titles yet that they will be releasing later this year.
That will actually keep other competing brand names from copying titles even before the new GamePad is released. For now, first-party titles are being prioritized for the new console. That leaves us with more things to watch out for.
