3.1 Philip Lim has created his own comic book

, Kill The Night, to coincide with the launch of his latest collection. The designer has come up with one-off comic as a nod to the inspiration behind the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 show.

3.1 Philip Lim launches the comic book 'Kill The Night' for celebrating its Fall 2012 collection.

There is a new superhero in town. More specifically, 3 super-stylish super heroines are clad in this seasons killer 3.1 Phillip Lim dresses. 3.1 Phillip Lims Fall 2012 collection is inspired by comic books such as Sin City and V for Vendetta. The designer teamed up with comic book author John Ostrander (Star Wars: Legacy, Suicide Squad) and artist Jan Duursema (Star Wars) for publishing this special comic book titled 'Kill The Night'. With the launch of the comic book, Philip Lim is doing a little more as compared to the conventional celebration for his upcoming 3.1 Philip Lim Fall/Winter 2012 line.

Like the collection, the comic also carries numerous themes of duality, such as love and betrayal, black and white, to make appearances not as they seem. With more and more brands trying to break free of the generic lookbook format, some imaginative projects like Kill the Night are becoming increasingly popular. In the comic book, readers meet 3 women, Lark, Dolly and Madyson, who are (according to the brand) not who they seem. In this comic book, things are not what they seem.

Most of us love a glossy campaign image and sleek black and white fashion video; however, we also truly appreciate, when brands explore their creative sides to think outside of the box. For Fall 2012 collection, 3.1 Phillip Lim did just that.
