3 Activities You Can Do To Help You Survive Infidelity Now

Very often, professionals will advice you to spend time away from your partner to help you survive infidelity now

. This time apart gives both of you time to clear your head and think about the next step in your marriage. So here, I am going to share with you 3 activities you can do to help you survive an affair.

Activity #1: Spend time with your family

Your direct family is the most important people in your life. After you start your own family, your direct family will tend to be neglected because of your commitments in your marriage. Now that you are taking time away from your spouse, you can spend time more time with your direct family.

Giving your direct family more time allows you to catch up on the time lost during your marriage. Other than that, your direct family will also provide you with support and love during this time when you are separated from your spouse.

However, I will advice you not to confide in your family about your spouse. You may give them a bad impression of him or her which will be very hard to resolve if you decide to move back in with your spouse - which is ultimately another problem. So spend more time with your family and focus on building bonds with your family rather than causing yourself more trouble by complaining about your spouse.

If you really need to talk find a neutral party, like a therapist, to talk to.

Activity #2: Spend time with your friends

This group of people were also being neglected after you got married. Friends are very important people in your life and can cheer you up or distract you away from the troubles in your marriage. However, there are 2 advice I will like to give:

1. Don't confide in them too

For the same reasons as not confiding in your family, do not confide in your friends too. Your friends will most likely be on your side and this will disable you to see things from other perspective. Another thing is if your friends were to be on your spouse's side, it could potentially endanger your friendship.

2. Don't go out only with a person of the opposite gender

At these vulnerable times of your life, you might see hope in another person to bring you happiness. You are wrong! Whether this person is better than your spouse or not, you are making a decision based on your currently confused mind. It is never going to be a good judgement of the other person.

Going out solo with a person of the opposite gender also increases your chance of having an affair. This will serve as a problem for you when you file for divorce and/or trying to get the full custody of your children.

Very often, professionals will advice you to spend time away from your partner to help yousurvive infidelity now. This time apart gives both of you time to clear your head and think about the next step in your marriage. So here, I am going to share with you 3 activities you can do to help you survive an affair.

Activity #3: Improve yourself

Out of the 3 activities you can do to help you survive infidelity in marriage, improving yourself is the most important thing to do. Now that you are away from your spouse and have more control over your time, you can use this opportunity to work on yourself. You can take up lessons to learn a new language, skill or interest or join a community to get to know more friends.

Allow yourself some times away from your troubles and come back even stronger to resolve it. Once again, this period of time allows you to clear your thoughts and make a better decision regarding your marriage. I keep repeating that you have to take some time away from your marriage to clear your head, because it is important that you follow it. Rushing back into marriages or ignoring the issue will only lead to further unhappiness and more problems in the future.
