With Cataclysm out and million players online all over the world now once again looking for the best ways to make gold. The strategies are about the same but with the goldcap now at 1 million gold, it will be few people getting there. Luckily for you, I'll give you 5 tips on how to make gold in cataclysm.

Reroll Professions

Just like in every new expansion, gathering will be the best moneymaker for about 95% of the people, ores of Elementium can go up to 1k gold per stack, this will drop some when more players get to 85 and start farming but you have a few months, I'd say to may 2011 to make nice gold of this, untill then ores and herbs will sell for big amounts of gold.

Get Your Volatiles

The great thing about volatiles is that you can farm them while at the same time search for ore/herbs. You can focus on just getting these by killing elementals, mostly found in the instance "The Skywall" so if you are leveling, you should go there at 83-85

New Servers

If you're changing server, everything you put on the Auction house will sell for a fortune. Because of the new Goblin and Worgen races, people will be in need of loads of low-level items and even up to level 85. With the new expansion you can be able to set the price on your own freshly new economy.

Old World Flying

In the previous expansions, you had to gain some levels to be able to buy the flying mount, but in Cataclysm you can get it for just 200 gold the second you get the game. Because of the flying mounts, searching for herbs and ore in the old world zones will be up to 3 times faster than with an epic riding mount.
