Burpees:3 Core Exercises for Men That Will Get You Ripped Fast


Burpees are one of the best core strengthening exercises that you can possibly do. They also work many other muscle groups but in general they will kick the crap out of your core.

- Start in a standing position

- Next, crouch down and place your palms on the floor

- Extend your legs to a plank position

- Do one push-up

- Bring legs back to a crouching position

- Jump up in the air; reach your hands to the sky

- Stand up straight; repeat the process.

Do any amount of desired reps and sets that you want to do.

Mountain Climbers:

One of my favorite exercises to do right after Burpees is the mountain climbers. This exercise absolutely kicks your butt after you are already worn down from previous workouts. Some say that they dread doing them in later sets.

- Start in the plank position

- Drive your left leg forward as far as you safely can; try to get your knee to your chest

- Extend left leg back to the plank position and alternate to your right leg

- Repeat the process.

This exercise is supposed to be done fast. Make sure that you are going as quick as you can, while keeping good form and making sure that you don't hurt yourself. It's good to do this exercise between 30 and 60 seconds per set.

Plank Hold:

The plank position is another one of those good core exercises for men. Essentially you are in a plank position but the goal is to contract your core muscles for a minimum of 30 seconds.

- Start in a elbow plank position; just like a plank position but rest on your forearms instead

- Make sure that your body is close to parallel to the ground; squeeze and hold your core muscles

- Do not let your stomach sag; let your weight rest on your toes and forearms only.

The stronger you get the longer you will be able to hold this position.
