Slow computer is a problem many computer users face on daily basis

. It's most common symptoms are long loading times when starting applications, long boot up times and random crashing. I'm going to list 3 easy ways you can instantly speed up your computer and get rid of the annoying waiting times.

Tip 1#: Buy more memory.

Unless your computer has a lot of memory, meaning 8gb or more, buying more memory will speed up your computer. The less memory you currently have the more buying more memory will help you. You also have to make sure your operating system is 64bit version if you want to use more thank 4gb of memory. The drawback is that the memory can be quite expensive depending how much you buy it and what quality you buy. Also some people can feel overwhelmed when buying and installing new hardware to their computers.

Tip 2#: Defrag your hard drive.

Whenever you store files or move them or delete them from your hard drive the hard drive will store those files in locations that are empty. Unfortunately it can store the same files in multiple locations if there is not enough room for the whole file. This causes it to take longer to retrieve the file you want and slows down the whole computer while doing so. When you defrag your hard drive the program will move the files so that programs can quickly find the thing they are looking for. You can do this by the program integrated into windows called Disk Defragmenter. It allows you to easily see if your hard drive needs a defragmentation and do it if needed.

Tip 3#: Clean up your registry.

Windows registry is the place where Windows saves your configurations and options. Everything you choose about windows and other applications is stored there. As you can quess, it can get pretty full when you install more and more programs. Many applications even fail to remove their registry edits even after their removed from your computer.

You can edit the registry by manually or using a software specially designed for it. Editing it manually however is very advanced and can cause your Windows and other applications to stop working if you don't know what to do.
