Never forget the importance of eye contact

It is very important to establish eye contact with a woman before you approach her. In my dating advice for men, I recommend establishing eye contact twice. After the first one, just look away and get yourself distracted in other things that have nothing to do with her. This allows your first eye contact to soak in or to have its full impact on her. In fact the first eye contact has two aims. Firstly, through it, you are introducing yourself, without words of course and you are registering romantic interest in her. Secondly, you are preparing her for the face to face chart. Assuming she likes you, by the time you approach her, she is ready and she can't wait to hear what you have to say to her. The second eye contact you make is just there to re-enforce the first one. Make your approach when you make the second eye contact.

Desperation does not help in getting the girl you want

Desperation is the last thing that a woman wants to see in a man. So my dating advice for men is that even if the woman you are interested in is more beautiful than an angel, when you approach her you must try and keep your cool. Tell yourself that while her physical features are important, they are not what ultimately counts in a relationship; personality is. As you approach her, remind yourself that, that there are other women in the world. If she knocks you back, you will have other chances to date someone else some day. Your approach must be easy-going but at the same time respectful. It must be confident. As you talk to her, she must feel your male presence and must warm up to your being around her.

Don't fabricate or pretend

Another of my dating advice for men is this: pretending does not help you in getting the girl you want. As you talk to her, everything about you must be authentic and natural. Some men think that they can impress a woman by exaggerating what they do or who they are and so forth. But you must resist the temptation to do that. For most men, it is difficult to pretend and act natural at the same time. Smart women can easily sense and detect it when a man is exaggerating, fabricating or pretending. And when they do, they may conclude that you have low self-opinion and low self-esteem. Otherwise, why else would you want misrepresent the real you.
