3 Must See Locations in Dragon Age: Origins
Have you ever spent many a night wanting to visit the actual places shown in video games
? Physicially it's impossible to do, but just the thought was enticing enough for Game Podunk to contruct the Gaming Hot Spot series, which we'll use to showcase some of the most stunning locations shown from various video game worlds. Now featuring the world of Dragon Age: Origins, Game Podunk covers some of its most remarkable sites.
Denerim
Important Places in Denerim:
1. Arl of Redcliffe's Estate
2. Fort Drakon
3. The Pearl
4. Royal Palace
The now capital of Ferelden started out as a small outpost for the Tevinter Imperium. The market district in the northern part of the capital is the one-place-stop for merchants and quest seekers. But don't let your eyes focus on just one spot for too long or one of Denerim's dirtiest citizens will rob you of coin or your life. There is also the estates of both Arl of Redcliffe and Denerim to visit among other points of interest. For the more risque traveler, no trip to Denerim is complete without a night spent in The Pearl. This brothel is known to be the place of choice for Isabela.

When you lay your weary head down at any of the many inns throughout Ferelden, you will enter the Fade. Believed to be the first realm created by the Maker, the surreal appearance of the Fade changes depending on the dreamer's mind. Dwarf travelers should already know that the only times they can enter the Fade is when forced.
Because the environment of the Fade changes constantly and depends on each individual person, it is hard to make a list of the important or must-see places. There are the rumors of sightings of a ship that bears some resemblance to that of one from a faraway land in a world called Myst and that the whole appearance of the Fade looks like it's from a surrealistic painting.
Ostagar
Important Places in or Around Ostagar:
1. Korcari Wilds
2. Tower of Ishal
For the history buff in all of us, Ostagar is steeped in a rich foundation of lore and battles. The fortress of Ostagar was one of the Tevinter Imperium holdings that was used to prevent invasions by the Wilders and later on, the darkspawn. Though abandoned after the collapse of Tevinter, Ostagar is still used by Grey Wardens and the King's army to camp for preparations of ending the Blight. If you do happen to stray outside into the Korcari Wilds, beware for any darkspawn and the Witch of the Wilds. To be on the safer side, a trip to the Tower of Ishal shows how the tower still stands strong after years of abandonment. You might not be lucky enough to get inside the Tower but the guards at the door are always willing to share the history of it to those interested.
There are many locations in the world of the Dragon Age: Origins game that are worth visiting. The ones suggested here stand out, either for their beauty or for the historical value.
