3 Reasons Why Your Current Workout Isn't Working by:Andre Martin
Many of us embark upon an ambitious journey to lose weight
. We do a lot of things to seek a trimmer body, a leaner set of muscles. But some of us don't see the light of day. Changing workout regimes, modifying your diet into something complicated and spending hoards of money on your fitness diet may not exactly be the reason why your workout isn't working.
Look for possible loopholes in your workout schedule to understand why your workout isn't working. This may be because you are following a wrong diet for your body type. Your exercise routine might not be concentrating on the key areas of your body. Or you are not eating the right foods after your workout.
Let us look at each of these points separately:
You should understand that not everyone can maintain the same type of work out routines. Every body is different, and the exercise must compliment that particular body. Otherwise, no matter how many hours you spend in the gym, you will always feel that your workout isn't working.
However, if you are one of those who like to avoid working out altogether, then this is a serious problem that you need to look into. Anything worse than following a wrong workout schedule is not working out at all! Not only will you slow your metabolism down by not having your body be adequately active, but you will also allow the daily calories to settle in. Needless to say you must put in the work to see results.
Every workout routine should be a combination of cardio AND weight training. Neither can compensate for the other. The belief that doing heavy weights will buff your muscles up and make you look bulky is NOT true. Muscle fat is harder to burn. Hence, weight training concentrates on burning that fat in particular. Muscle fat is the actual body fat.
Cardio mostly gets rid of the excess water in your body. The rapid weight loss due to loss of water deceives you into believing that you are shedding a lot of fat. Also, when fat is stored in the body for a long time, it transforms into flab muscle. The only way to get rid of this flab muscle is by doing intense weight training. However, don't go overboard with it and injure yourself. Whatever exercise routine you follow should be supervised by a professional trainer.
Another common reason as to why you think your workout isn't working, which it probably isn't really, is that your daily calorie INTAKE is higher than what you burn. If you eat more calories than the number you shed in your workout, you should hot expect to get fitter any time soon.
A diet should be a combination of everything. A diet means what you eat should be in sync with each other, and have balance. Skipping meals or particular nutrients like carbohydrates is not the way to go. Your body needs all kinds of macro and micro nutrients. Raising your protein intake or lowering the carbs is ridiculous. Keep your food in moderation.
