Hold the air in your lungs for a few moments, and then exhale at the same rate you inhaled. These rhythmic beats of breathing will get your body become accustomed to breathing effectively, preparing you for a healthy lifestyle.
Stress vs. exercise
Exercise is potentially one of the most successful ways to deal with stressful sources. Stress builds up in the body over time. Stressful thoughts in the back of our mind can be dealt with mentally, but they often leave our body tense and stressed as a side effect. The worst thing you can do about this is do nothing at all. Sitting around and watching the television wont get your muscles unwound.
Ask yourself this: Have you ever felt aggravated with a situation? You just wanted to run or throw something (hopefully nothing valuable)? Stressful situations can cause that. And this is where you can channel that stress. Get yourself moving, get those chemicals and toxins out of your body and let your muscles loosen up.
Eating to alleviate stress
The right diet is a primary factor in health. Many people arent aware that foods and the chemicals, nutrients, and lack of nutrients they may contain can seriously affect the bodys ability to cope with stress.
Processed sugar is amongst many popular foods, particularly snack foods and fast foods. The problem with this kind of sugar is that it has absolutely no nutritional value. It takes nothing to metabolize, burns all of your energy, and leaves your body in a much weaker condition than before you ate it.
Foods like these are what can leave your body and mind susceptible to stress. These chemicals, toxins, and physical conditions are already present, and when stressful situations occur, they can be that much more difficult for you to deal with.
This is why proper diet is vital to everyones well-being. Proper nutrition provides your body with the necessary minerals and vitamins your body and mind need to properly function. There are actually certain foods that will help your body alleviate stress on a chemical level. Effectively, many food products that contain B vitamins, like milk, and antioxidant nutrients, such as blueberries, can also help with your bodys stress.
Stressful situations are something we all have to deal with in our journey through life. But, how we handle them is up to you.
