3 Tips to Avoid Blowing Your Budget
No couple wants to blow their wedding budget out of the water; you want to be able to sleep at night after your wedding right? But what you need to do instead is get the best value for your wedding dollar to do so. So what does it mean to get the best value out of your wedding dollar? It means spending wisely on the right things that will help create the ultimate experience for your guests, get you the things you want for your wedding day and keeping it within the amount you want to invest in your wedding. It doesn't matter what your "number" is whether it's $30,000 or $300,000 every couple wishes they had more to spend. I don't want you to feel bad or be embarrassedthat you don't have more to spend. What is helpful is that you have a number in mind of what you want to spend and be realistic with what you will get (the value) for that amount.
Steph's Bridal Advice
#1. Think Quality Versus Quantity:
If you want more guests at your wedding, you may have to sacrifice in other areas. You could end up with poor entertainment or a lousy photographer, and you won't be happy with the result. Therefore, to compensate for your larger guest number, you need to increase your budget to accommodate for these extra people. If you don't have the finances to up your budget, cut some of your guests from the guest list to allow you to spend more wisely on other vendors needed to create the best experience for you and your guests.
#2. Prioritize:
What absolutely do you need to make sure you have the wedding day you dream of? What do you not really care about and the only reason you're including it is because it's "traditional" or somebody else wants it included. You need to prioritize in order to ensure that you have the items you want for your wedding otherwise they will get missed or you won't have enough budget leftover to purchase quality work and youwill beunhappy with the result and the money was not well spent but wasted.
