3 Ways Women Push Men AwayWomen are notorious for over-thinking situations. It is in our DNA and we are primed to think to hard and act too quickly. As a result, women often push men away without really intending to. Sometimes it is a gut reaction in order to protect ourselves, and other times it is because we get caught up in playing games we don't really understand the rules to. The truth is that we really aren't built for game play, and as a result we often take things too far. Women accidentally push men away all the time, and here's how:
1. Hard to Get We all know that playing hard to get is supposed to be the way to get a man. The problem comes in when you are too hard to get. If a man can't get you on e-mail, on the phone, or on a date, he is going to give up. And probably sooner than expected.
2. Hard to Forgive We as women get it in our heads that we need to be tough and show men right out the gate what will happen to them when they cross us. The problem comes when we are too slow to forgive even minor infractions. No man wants to spend an entire relationship being punished.
3. Hard to Let In Along the same lines, there is a new breed of women who believes they have to be able to do everything themselves. They don't think men want to be burdened with their problems, and they want to prove how self sufficient they are. The problem is that most men want to be needed. They want to be in a position to take care of the women in their lives; at least on some level. If you shut them out of your struggles, you are essentially shutting them out of your life.
If you want to keep this man in your life, the number one trick is going to be to open up. Unfortunately, that goes against every self preservation instinct we have. Just remember that shutting down means shutting him out, and that isn't always a good thing.
Sometimes the risk is worth the reward.
