Every student Starting or returning, dreams to get a college scholarship as the cost of a college education can put a huge strain on a person's bank account for years and years to come. So how is it that so few students actually manage to get a scholarship ? Is it really a case of too many students and too little money ? Wrong !
You'd be surprised to know that every year millions of dollars worth of scholarships remain unclaimed by students. Sounds surprising, especially when you consider how in demand these financial grants seems to be.
In My view, the main reason for not getting for a scholarship is the cumbersome process and paperwork. Most student get complacent and chose to give in after trying for a little bit.Is it because they are lazy ? Not really.
Most students just don't know where to look for these grants. You will hear from so and so friend or colleague about how they are applying to many grants and writing SOP's and spending all day on the internet but that only seems to bring you down as you cant seem to find any resources. Am I Right ?
Thirdly, Most students lack a concrete plan on how to go about this and with competition for these funds being as intense as it's rumored to be, fellow students are reluctant to share details or the methods they seem to be using to attain these scholarships.
So to summarize before you dive deep into these money piles, you need to have a solid plan which will guide you through to the right channels and keep you on track. To read more about this click here.
