Branch in Japan of Domino's, American famous chain restaurant, has solemnly declared, the first extraterrestrial Pizza restaurant will be opened on the Moon, whose construction costs at least up to 1.67 trillion yen.

Italy inventor Arico Dini successfully developed a large 3D printer called DShape last year. The European space agency hopes, this 3D printing technology can be applied to outer space, for building houses in the moon. With it, the construction of a Pizza restaurant on the moon is no longer a dream.

DShape printer operates at a 6 meters *6 meters platform, ejecting solid material from 9 to 12 meters high. There are300 nozzles spacing of 20 mm in the bottom of the printer, which can spray out of a material called a structural inkjet, this material is composed by the particulate material (such as sand, dust, etc.) and a binder liquid. When printer works, thick layers of 5-10 mm thick are printed out then are superposed one by one, creating a rock solid. The stereo print technology can create a unique buildings -- its texture is similar to the marble, stronger than concrete strength. It doesnt need the built-in steel for reinforcement. As if a natural organisms of perfect curves, this shape cannot be produced with existing construction technology.

Dini's ambition is to introduce DShape to the moon, print a building with lunar regolith dust. He currently planned printing experiments in vacuum lab to simulate working under low-gravity circumstance, hoping to build thick walls of 1.5 meters.
