Any personalized text can be printed on a variety of ribbon sizes and colors. Phrases like, Merry Christmas, Love Aunt Betty, or Happy Hanukkah, with love, Grandma, can be placed on ribbon in script or printed fonts.
Also, try using a larger sized sheer ribbon underneath or on top of the printed one, or a dark contrasting color alongside it for an interesting way to accentuate its charm.
