4 Reasons To Check Out The Tamerica Duracoil El

An exceptional and innovative spiral coil inserter

, the Tamerica Duracoil EL offers you great quality and functionality that other inserting systems can only dream of. With a host of new and interesting features coupled with a great new way to insert coils into booklets, this machine solves the problems that other systems only create.

1. In the binding industry, it sometimes seems that innovation is a fairly rare thing. However, Tamerica seems to take innovation seriously. In designing the Duracoil EL, Tamerica went with one roller rather than the two rollers that you normally find on a coil insertion device. It could be said, and would be hard to argue that the traditional two roller design is a pretty effective way to do coil inserting, seeing as how that is the way the vast majority of these types of machines operate. However, Duracoil EL employs a roller type that is different from any that has yet been seen on the market. Much larger than any of the other rollers, and featuring an innovative pattern of grooves which give this system an amazing amount of traction and prevent the roller from wearing itself smooth over years of use. Put testers have found that this unique design is every bit as effective, if not more so, than the vast majority of two roller coil inserter systems. Innovation pays off in the case of the Duracoil EL.

2. If you are familiar at all with your typical spiral coil inserter, the first thing you might notice when you see the Duracoil EL (after the single roller) is the odd orange/yellow strip that is located at roller's base. This would be another innovation of the Duracoil - an insertion strip, coated with Teflon. A material well known for its slickness and durability, this Teflon strip is designed to help to make sure that that the machine's coils are allowed to spin freely when you place your document on it. A vast improvement over the design of most coil inserters (which require users to hold their booklets in the air while the coil is being inserted) the Duracoil's Teflon strip holds and guides the book and the spine. While this innovative system is extremely helpful on books of all sizes, it is of special use on larger spiral sizes.

3. High speed spiral coil inserters are great binding tools, but with some of them, it's just a little bit too easy to insert the coils too far and to do it too quickly, leaving you with a spine that has been spun right off the book. Luckily the Duracoil come equipped with a special stopper to prevent that from occurring. It is the only machine on the market with this handy feature. The innovation continues!

4. Most of the other coil inserters on the market have a problem with larger diameter coils. A fair number of them, in fact, don't work at all on coils that are over an inch. The Duracoil-EL, on the other hand, can be used with spines measuring up to 40mm.
