Known for his unconventional designs, McQueen founded his own fashion line after working for five years as the head designer of Givenchy. He used to sketch historical costumes and fashions as a child. In the mid-seventies he met fashion press attach Jean-Jacques Picart, who got Lacroix a job at Herms. In 1987 he opened his own couture house and began creating ready-to-wear pieces inspired from diverse cultures.4.Giorgio ArmaniGiorgio Armani is an Italian designer known for his men's wear, and clean, tailored lines. His fashion career began with a job working as a window dresser at La Rinascente, a department store in Milan. He then became a buyer for the store's men's department which offered tremendous insight into the marketing aspect of the fashion industry. Giorgio Armani was an innovative man, an industry leader in many, many ways. He was the first designer to ban models with a BMI under 18 after a famous model starved herself to death. He was also the first haute-couture designer to broadcast his collection on the internet in 2007. Armani is an inspiring and legendary man in the fashion industry.
