4 Ways To Grab Yourself A Cheap Iphone 3gs

, the Apple iPhone has been one of - if not the - leader in the smartphone mobile phone industry, as well as being one of the most popular mobile phones of all time.

Although it is possible to pick up a cheap iPhone that is one of the older generations, the 3GS version is the newest available and there are several easy ways that you can receive a cheap iPhone, without settling for an older variation.

1. Sign up to online competition websites - one of the easiest ways to get a cheap iPhone is to participate in competitions that are offering them as prizes and as online competition sites are plentiful, you shouldn't have any real difficulty finding one that is offering the latest iPhone as a prize, with completely free entry. It may be the longest way, in respect of time, to get the phone, but it is also the cheapest.

2. Take out a long or expensive monthly contract - if you can afford to pay 40 pound or more a month for your mobile phone contract or don't mind taking a contract out that lasts 2 years, you can benefit from extremely cheap handset costs. In fact, should your monthly contract be high enough, some providers will provide the iPhone for free.

3. Log on to auction websites - although the 3GS is the newest version, it has still been out for just under a year now, meaning that there is a substantial amount of second hand models to be had. Log on to one of the main auction websites, look for a model that appears to be good as new and place your highest bid. Don't be put off if you don't win that one - stick within your budget, keep your eyes peeled and chances are you'll be able to get the iPhone you want for the price you want to pay soon enough

It's worthwhile noting that auction websites don't just sell second hand iPhones and new versions are freely available. Be careful on some of the more population auction websites, though, as some new models may not be the genuine article. This is not to say that you shouldn't buy new versions from these types of websites - just make sure that it is definitely the official Apple product that you're bidding on.

4. Hang fire for a few months - it is widely expected that Apple are going to announce their new version of the iPhone on 7 June 2010 at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. As with anything that is superseded by a new variation, the now older product will see a decrease in price and the same will no doubt happen to the 3GS.

Although the new iPhone isn't expected to be in stores for at least a month yet, start putting some money aside now and then once the new version is released, you'll not only get a cheap iPhone because it has dropped in price, but you might get it free if you've saved up enough money in the meantime.
