Weekly overall inspection

Right Air Pressure

If your tires do not look fully inflated, check the air pressure. It is always best to inflate your tires to the manufacturers recommended pressure. This is stamped on the side of the tire or you can confirm with your owners manual. Poorly inflated tires result in increased fuel use and also reduced tire performance. If the tire is not well inflated, its edges wear out faster causing uneven wearing, and the risk of a blowout is always imminent. Additionally, over inflated tires will cause the centre to wear out faster which is also not good for your auto.

Check for tire leaks or holes especially if one of your tires looks less inflated to the rest.

Rotate your tires every few weeks to ensure even wearing. If you dont rotate, your car may shake and pull to a particular side as you drive because of uneven wearing.

Fix Worn Suspension Parts

If you notice that your vehicle is often pulling to one side, you need to check your suspension parts. If your steering parts are worn, you will need to assess the damage. Raise your car on jacks and hold the tire in your hands, push the suspended tire forwards and backwards. If the tire moves more than 1/8 of an inch in either direction, you should replace or fix the suspension parts since they are definitely worn out.

Tread Analysis

Having a sufficient amount of tread pattern on your tires is necessary for effective vehicle handling. If you want to measure how the treads of your tires are wearing out evenly, check the wear gauge in your tire. If it is completely worn out, you need to get yourself new tires.
