45 Day Wonder

I want to be financially clever because to date I have been a financial idiot.This time I am setting yet another goal that I will achieve. All the books I have read points to one single action when it comes to achieving a goal:

Choose a date

Have a clear picture of the goal

Write down your goal and the plan you will follow to achieve goal, then act.

Just imagine act (one single action) that is the magic ingredient to getting what you want in life. Take a step into the direction that you want to go, and then you will arrive at your desired destination. At this point not happy with self does not even begin to describe what I am feeling. So many times I have set goals that never materialised. So many times I have not achieved my goals and blamed others for my failures. Always wondering why things are not going my way. So many times I have been frustrated because I have not yet achieved my all-time top of the list goal. I want to be financially clever.

Imagine my shame when I had to confront the person who stood in my way all this time, me just me. There is no pill for lazy or stupid only self-pity, regret and what if's. The truth of the matter is that all those times when a goal was not reached were because that I never act on plans or resolves. What a waste of time! Anyway let me not dwell on the past because I will only delay the process and then have to write another piece on how I did not reach my goal.

The plan is to have money in the bank by the end of my 45 day wonder. Financially clever to me means to always demand to be paid my worth, have a clear picture of the amount of money I want, save money every month, have a great investment portfolio and know how to make money work for me.

Over the course of the 45 day wonder period I will put to practice all that I have read and act. My first step is to use the web as my goal sheet and write daily entries on progress made until I come to end of my 45 day wonder.

My goal is to have 900 000 in my bank account on the 23 April 2011.
