5 Fundraising Ideas For A Golf Fundraiser Day!
Whenever people brainstorm fundraising ideas for their cause they usually come up with a golf fundraiser day as one of the options... and quite rightly so, a golf day can be a really profitable event. So here are 5 great ways for you to earn cash and raise funds from a golf fundraiser day!
1. Entry Fees Your first most obvious step is to charge an entry fee. But this is where you must be clever by not charging too much! A person will be more willing to spend more money at the event if they haven't had to pay a huge upfront fee. By charging a smaller fee you will more than likely end up earning more money throughout the day from an individual!
And also remember that if the entry fee is too expensive you won't fill your playing field, which is a no go... Get people there first and then earn the big cash with all the other fundraisers that you'll hold throughout the day!
2. Hole sponsors/Advertisers You must look for a sponsor/advertiser for each of the 18 holes, as well as the practice green. Be creative about it and think of other places you can put up for advertising... Like the car park or dining hall!
It would be suggestible to seek local advice on how much to ask for each sponsorship. The Golf Club who will be hosting your golf day would be a good place to start. This figure will totally depend on where you are from and what type of people/companies will be sponsoring your day.

4.On-course betting There are a few different types of bets that one could hold so be creative with this idea. The one I would recommend though is the "Landing the green on a par 3". Here's how you would do it...
Draw three rings around the hole, growing from small to medium to large (All inside the green of course). Then have people bet on the ring that they think they'll land their ball in off one shot, obviously with the odds on the bet getting larger the smaller the ring.
You'll find that most people get so excited when they land their ball inside the rings, that they just tell you to keep the money anyway!
5.Watering Holes You should have a couple of holes on the course, like the 5th and 14th, which provide drinks for your players... Consider offering free shooters (which you get sponsored), and then sell beers and other drinks.
The extra point - Please remember that a golf day isn't just about raising funds... it is also about raising awareness for your cause. So if you make sure that people enjoy themselves thoroughly, they will talk about your cause to friends, and will also be very willing to help out again...
