5 Ideal Outdoor Environments

There are some moments in life, some settings

, that really make you feel like you are living in a fairytale. Some examples include:

1. Stunning Gardens:

Private, gated gardens are usually beautifully laid out, with romantic steel archways, stone benches and little ponds. Of course not everyone is allowed in. But if you remember the film 'Notting Hill' and that part where Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant hop the fence you can see how all people are able to appreciate their beauty. In fact, they are even more beautiful when sneaked into after the sun goes down.

2. Private Cruising:

Laying in a chaise lounge in your bathing suit with the sun beating down on your skin while cruising across the Med on a private yacht is pretty much as glamorous as it gets. Welcome to the life of the rich and famous. After catching some rays you can take a dip in the sea, eat the most delicious food on board and go back to laying in the sun. What could possibly be more relaxing than that?

3. Cocktails on the green:

Last weekend I was at a wedding in Venice, where before the dinner reception at the Cipriani, there were cocktails on the hotel's green. Seeing two hundred people standing around tall, white clothed tables in stunning ball gowns and tuxedos, drinking fresh peach belinis while a classical band played in the background, was something out of another world. An image that belonged in a spread of Vogue magazine.

4. Waking up in a beautiful bay:

Those people who like to travel by boat will probably agree that there is nothing quite as gorgeous as waking up in a stunning, private bay. A lot of people when cruising will dock in port, which makes sense if you would like to spend some time in town. But every now and then it's nice to anchor at sea, because waking up in a bay you've never seen before and starting your day with a water ski is pretty unreal.

5. Country Living:

There are many reasons why one might invest in a second property. Perhaps they want to own a flat in their favourite city, or perhaps they bought something way out in the countryside where the only noise you can hear is that of crickets in the night time. When the sun is out meals can be enjoyed outdoors, tanning can be done by the pool or lake and long walks can be taken. The air is fresh, the sounds are peaceful and ultimate relaxation is possible.
