5 Items You Must Include on Your Remodeling Company's Facebook Fan Page

If you are starting or thinking of starting a Facebook fan page for your remodeling company

, there are five items that you absolutely must include on the fan page to make it usable and memorable for your fans.

1. Your company information. There is plenty of room for your company name, address, phone and fax numbers, website url, e-mail addresses, hours of operation, and anything else that is important information for your potential customers to know about your business.

2. A link to your website. By entering the entire (including the full http part) url of your company's website address in your profile box, you will create a link on your Facebook fan page to your website. Most importantly, it will be a clickable link from your Facebook page so that fans can go directly from your fan page to your website in one click of the mouse.

3. A profile picture. A profile picture on a fan page is larger than a profile picture on a personal page. Pick something that will resonate and make your fans think of you and your company. It may be your company logo, a jobsite photo, your personal photo, a photo of your office, or something else that your fans will associate with your company.

4. Lots of job photos. Job photos are a natural addition to any remodeling company's Facebook fan page. Post photos with some information about the job. Arrange photos in albums so that they are easier to find. If your company builds larger projects, you may want to create a separate album for each job and add start to finish photos to the album. A company that does smaller jobs may want to create albums based on type of job. The photos go out to the newsfeed and can be commented on by your fans and friends of your fans. You will find that people love to look at and comment on remodeling photos.

5. Regular posts. If you post once a month and expect Facebook to work for your business, you will be sadly disappointed. Facebook is social media and that means you have to be social. Post information, answer questions, give advice, give away coupons. Interact with your Facebook fans on a regular basis.
