1. Pay-per-click (PPC)
Pay-per-click is the most successful method to get fast results, but you are paying for this service. It works by placing an ad on the Google search engine containing key search words. You pay for the keywords used if it is clicked. The more competitive the keyword the more you pay. You only pay if the ad is actually viewed.
The ad should ideally take the searcher to a landing page, web site or blog and contain valuable content
2. Article Marketing
This is easy and great for beginners. You write an article of least 2,500 words which is about an A4 page of text. Submit the one article to a number of article directories being careful with those that look for no duplicate content.
To make this work will require writing a serious amount of articles to get the level of exposure. Writing one or two will not do it.
The advantage of article writing is that your content will remain out there for some time, unlike paid advertising which stop once you stop paying.
3. Social Media
Using the social media route is probably the best place to start when starting out marketing on the internet. Even large companies are doing this. There are many social media sites one can go to.
It is probably worth starting out with the most popular social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Try and ensure when you set up your account to use the same account name as these can not be rectified afterwards. This helps with branding.
Apart from the free social media side of things, you now have the opportunity to add paid ads.
4. Content production.
To get noticed, you need to get out onto the first page of the Google search engine. Videos are great for this and posting videos on say Youtube makes this easier. Combining articles with videos will help make this work. Again, though, this will require a lot of attention and massive action.
5. Relationship list building
Details from people i.e. email addresses, captured through your site should be logged. The list is then used to respond back to the people as a way to provide more information. Using a method of autoresponders is a quick way of doing this.
Autorepsonders help with personal branding, but also helps you build that connection with people. There is an art to this.
So there you have it, a range of internet marketing strategies and network marketing tips. The free methods will generate results, but will take longer and require more effort than the paid methods.
It is a good idea having a number of marketing strategies so that you don't put all your eggs into one basket. However, be mindful it is a good idea to master a couple of methods as opposed to becoming overwhelmed.
