Anjuna is a beach in North Goa, located about 20 kms from capital Panjim. Anjuna Beach was once the home base of the hippies in Goa, now only their legacy remains. Some shacks are open throughout the night and the party lasts till the wee hours.

Arambol


Arambol is located about 50 kms north of Panjim. The closest train station is Pernem. Arambol, is the most popular beach among tourists in Goa. There are many things to do around Arambol like meditation and yoga. Water sports and dolphin sighting trips are available here.

Baga & Calangute

Baga & Calangute are two beaches located right next to each other in north Goa. They are about 10 kms away from Panjim. Tivim is the closest railway station. Baga and Calangute are the busiest and most commercial beaches in Goa. Both Indians and foreigners frequent these beaches. Baga has better facilities than Calangute. A wide range of water sports are available here. Many good restaurants dot the area. Baga is well known for its nightlife, including Titos and Mambos, which have now developed a cult following.

Vagator

Vagator beach, north of Anjuna, is the center of Goa's trance party scene. The beach is located at the bottom of a steep cliff. Vagator is famous for its trance aprties is avery popular with foreign tourists. The beach is divided into three parts and is accessible only on foot. Vagator is 22 kms north of Panjim and Thivim is the closest railway station.

Colva

Located in South Goa, 50 Kms away from Panjim, Colva Beach is a favorite amongst tourists. On the weekend, the crowd explodes with locals as well. Colva is surrounded by plenty of budget hotels, beach shacks, food stalls and bars. Colva is popular among the locals as well.
