5 Tips To Give More Relief To Your Feet When Wearing High Heel Shoes

High heels make you look thinner, taller and sexier

, and there is nothing wrong with wearing them. However, moderation is the key, wear them occasionally and not all the time. High heels main purpose is to make you look good they are not designed to improve the health of your feet. Wearing high heels, especially if you wear them all the time, can put extreme pressure on the bones in your feet and their lack of support can cause problems to the tendons.

If you wear high heels a lot then you will be causing problems for your feet in the long term. However, with just a few changes you can still wear your high heels when it is appropriate and at the same time give those feet a little more support and relief. Try these suggestions out for size:

1) If you travel to work and you need to wear formal dress wear, use trainers while you are travelling to and from work. You can take them off and slip into your heels when you immediately arrive in the office.

2) If you have to wear high heels choose a style that has a square heel as they provide more support to your feet and ankle. A pointed stiletto puts more pressure on your foot especially, the heel.

3) Try and avoid wearing nylon or polyester stockings and tights as they prevent your skin from breathing. If there is no air circulation around your feet you are more prone to develop skin complications such as fungal infections and athletes foot. Try to alternate days without wearing any tights and when you do wear them use ones that are made from natural materials such as cotton or fine wool.

4) If your feet have been covered for a considerable time the skin can dry out quickly and crack when you wear sandals or flip flops. A solution to this problem is to massage a quality foot cream into the skin just before going to bed. For even better results you can put either silk or cotton socks on after massaging in the cream. By doing this your feet will be silky smooth by the time you get up the morning.

5) If you find that your feet are getting bunions, corns and blisters then, this is a warning sign that you need to change your footwear. Therefore, start wearing proper fitted shoes that provide support to your feet. They will thank you for it.
