5 Tips on How To Take Great Photos to Improve Your EBay Listing
A picture is worth a thousand words and having great photos for your eBay listing will help to enhance your item and even your sales
.
Imagine you are looking for a book to buy on eBay and I am selling a book on eBay. If I do not have a photo of at least the book cover the book you think I am selling and the book that I know I am selling could be two vastly different items. You may think about a hardcover photography book and I may be selling a paperback novel. So having a photo will mean that we can both think about the same book!
How many times have you been browsing in a bookshop and you pick up a book because the cover catches your attention? The same thing applies for selling items on eBay.
People will tend to not look at an eBay listing if there is not a photo, so having one will improve your chances. Having a great photo for your eBay listing will improve your chances even more.
1. You Do Not Need an Expensive Digital Camera
If you do not have a digital camera you may be confused as to which one you should get as there is such a wide range of digital cameras available on the market today. However, all you need is one that will take photos. If you have not taken photos before, make sure that the one that you get has at least an auto setting so you will not have to take a photo and change the setting and take the another photo and change the setting. With a camera that has an auto setting it is all done for you.
2. Do Not Have Extra Items in Your Photo
When you take your photo make sure that you do not have extra items in your photo as this cluttered look could distract the buyer from focusing on the item that you are trying to sell on eBay.
3. Do Not Have a Distracting Background
If you take a photo and you have a distracting background, buyers could get distracted from your item and look at the background instead.
4. Use a Neutral Color Background
By having a neutral color as the background (and even the foreground) this will help to focus the buyers attention on the item that you are selling.
5. The Item Should be the Largest in the Photo Make sure that the item takes up the majority of the photo. This will help your buyers to focus on your item that you are selling on eBay.
