Alcohol dehydrates your body, which means You will be losing some muscle mass, and muscle mass burns fat, so your fat burning potential decreases even more!

Alcohol relaxes your inhibitions, this is the reason a lot of people drink alcohol at parties, but chances are that after having a couple of wines or beers you will be making some bad food choices.. Like eating some fast food or other high-calorie foods, which is a very bad choice if you want to lose fat.

Alcohol lowers testosterone, this means your testosterone to estrogen ratio will take a turn for the worse. Resulting in your body not being able to burn as much body-fat as you previously were able to.. This is a long-term effect!- Alcoholic drinks are often very high in calories, not only the calories from the alcohol itself, but they are also often very rich in sugars. If you want to lose fat the best thing would be to not drink any alcohol at all, but if you are going to drink:

Choose drinks low in calories..like light beer, or strong liquor like: rum vodka or whiskey with only ice or water added..

Keep healthy food at the ready so you aren't as likely to eat fattening and unhealthy foods.

Drink a glass of water per glass of alcohol to avoid dehydration or over consumption of alcohol.
