5 proved money saving tips for movie fans out of a film-show for the next ticket in a theatre

We all love movies, don't we? The genre may be different but movie excites. Wherever you are in South Asia, it can be, New Delhi, Kathmandu, Karachi or anywhere, movie release strikes us. How many of us can justify the money we spend on a show or two, when we start to add up all the money spent on the movie. It's alright when you enjoy the movie inside, eating something hand in hand with your girl/ boy. But when you come out of this, you can end up being depressed. All the hidden costs and total can be a huge attack on the wallets. It's useless to discuss these topics, if you are a CEO, MD, from a well to do family or whatever not getting affected. But when it comes to us the part timers, call center agents, and groups getting affected, its worth saving money. These are not any ground-breaking revolutionary tips. I am just trying to share my thoughts, as a movie fan. Let's have a look at some overlooked common and obvious ideas, that you'll have fun saving money as a movie fan. (This article is created considering a diehard movie fan. A diehard movie fan is a person who follows every movie release. However saving money is beneficial for every one, also to a person who watches only a movie per month)

Eat before going to the movie theater/film hall: How many of us enjoy popcorn at home? Very few, isn't it? But why are we so much excited to eat that item inside a theater? Eating in the film halls, theatres and multiplexes definitely is enjoyable, but it hurts the wallet very much. Just think how much the eating items cost inside the theatres. The drinks can, bottled waters, juices, made to order pizza, chips & tasteless popcorn. I think most of us are self conscious to think eating inside won't let us down. But why would others bother noticing if you are eating or not? These items' prices are doubled inside. Be careful to pay the theatre extra commission hampering your pockets. Just cutting expense on these items twice will buy you another movie ticket.

Choose your theatre wisely: It's good to watch films on multiplexes with surround sound. We want to enjoy movies like Ghazinee, Don and Dhoom etc. in the best screen and best sound. But when it comes to comedies like, Bheja Fry, Khoshla kaa Ghoshla, and other peaceful movies like Karthik calling Karthik, Udaan and many more we can choose half a rate movie theatres besides your area. These films really don't require the big screens and best sound systems. Only peaceful mind works. You can cut around Rs. 100 at least doing this.

Enjoy Matinee Shows: It's good to watch films in the evenings and nights. But Matinee Shows have their own benefits. The ticket rates are very less compared to the high time shows. The less crowed, fewer noisy people. You'll notice a cut of around Rs. 50-100 in the matinee shows. So why not try matinee shows twice a month, and when you don't need to hide yourself.

Consult the movie reviews and critical views: We enjoy watching movies, but many among the new releases are pathetic to watch. Reviewing movies by the critics and the followed comments when you are online gives you a simple idea about the movie. You can try my blog for review or there are several other good review sites. I consider the best is Mr. Rajiv Masand inwww.ibnlive.in.com . You can get even through the comments saying how much they hated any particular movie. You can re-consider watching that movie to any other. This works only if you are not desperate to watch the movie on the Friday (The first release). You avoid two bad movies in a month and it will make your wallet feel better somewhat.

Wait for the DVD: There are some movies you must watch on the theatres, i.e. the bigger screens and the best sound quality. As I've said earlier, all films don't have that quality. There may be and are movies that you may not be so much excited, but you want to see it as a movie fan. You can save all that higher rate tickets, popcorns, transportation charges and other costs trying them on the DVDs. You can wait for the DVD's. I can't suggest you to try the pirated versions available here and there; though I guess you won't obey me waiting for the released original DVDs than trying the available ones.
