One of the handy ways you can save time accessing your favourite web site is to add it to your favorite list
. By adding the web site to your favorites you will not have to keep typing in the URL into the address bar each time you want to access it. All you need to do is click on your Favorites on the Internet Explorers toolbar, the drop down menu will appear and you select the web site link of your choice.
To add a web site follow these steps:
Step 1
Begin by launching Internet Explorer and type in the address of the web site that you want added to Favorites.

With your mouse click on the Add to Favorites button and select the command Add to Favourites.

When you click the button the Add to Favorites dialogue box will appear on your screen. In this dialogue box will be a text box. The first box asks you to enter the name of the website. Use a name that is short and memorable.

Below the Name text box is the Create in drop down menu where you have the option of choosing the folder that you want to put the Favorites link into. You can select a folder by clicking on the arrow and the list will appear. To the right of the Create in drop down menu is a Folder button. With this option you can create and personalise your folder to put your Favorites link into. With these options you can create folders for different categories to assist you in becoming better organised. For example, you can create folders relating to finance, sports and research topics. You can then put the relevant Favorites link into the corresponding folder. By organising this way will enable you to access them a lot faster and it also makes the Favorites list look tidier and less crowded.
Step 5
The next thing to do is click the Add button to proceed adding the web site to the Favorites list.
Step 6
In order to test to see if this works then click the Favorites button, click on the folder where you have stored the link, click on the link and you should be on the web site in a matter of seconds.
A good tip is to regularly remove unwanted and unused links from you Favorites list. If you do not they can very quickly build up. Set up a minimum number of links and each time you add a new one check if you can also remove an old or used one.
