1. Practice skipping for 5 minutes at least once a week
Skipping is one of the best ways to improve your balance. When you skip, you have to jump and regain your balance in a very short amount of time. Hence, if you skip very fast, you have to regain back your balance in a very short amount of time than normal. After practicing skipping for a long time, you will find that your balance will improve significantly.
2. Walk backwards
When you walk backwards, you will find that you cannot rely on your eyes to keep yourself balanced. This will improve your balance because you rely on your footing and centre of balance to to keep you upright.
3. Eat more fruits and vegetables
Eating more fruits and vegetables will help your body feel more balanced internally. This in turn will help your balance physically.
4. Walk in a straight line
If you walk in a straight line like a tight rope, you help to keep your body more upright and in alignment. Gymnast and athletes have used this technique for years to improve their balance.
5. Calf raises
To have very good balance, you must have very good calf muscles. Therefore, you must do many calf raises as much as possible. To do a calf raises exercise; all you need to do is stand with your feet together and raise both of your heels off from the floor. You should feel your calves having a work out.
6. Squats
Squats help to strengthen your quadriceps muscle and your buttock muscle to keep your body aligned and in good balance. Martial artists view squats as one of the best exercise to improve your balance. Squats are quite easy to perform. All you need to do is to keep your back straight at all times with your feet at least a shoulders width apart. Then, you gently bend your knees and ankles down until your knees are bent ninety degrees. Repeat this and you will find that your balance will improve dramatically.
