Because you only have so many sick days. And because that one drink too many at last night's happy hour sent you into hangover hell today at the office. There are lots of times we wish we had them and they are nowhere to be found.

A tiny cut can drive you nuts! It's like an itch that you can't scratch. If anything rubs on it, it stings. Also if any bacteria gets in there you risk an infection. And sometimes you're a good thirty minute walk from the nearest place that would cary any.

Think about this: you don't exactly live in a safe neighborhood, there are no nearby restaurants to hang in until the locksmith comes and you have to sit outside. My friend is always locking her key in her house. Luckily, she has a studio she can spend the night in when she's locked out of her house because she's a voice coach and wanted a separate place to give singing lessons from.

Pen & Paper

For directions, for the phone number of a cute guy, for the contact information for a good work connection when you've forgotten your business cards or ran out. Or what about a busy secretary that gives you info at lightning speed then hangs up! And there there is just the issue of remember at odd times of the day that you need to do something later, and having no way to remember it.

Sewing Kit

Because if just the wrong button pops off, you have an inappropriate blouse situation in the office. Or, possibly you get a small hole in your skirt while you're on the best first date of your life.
