7 Tips For Working Successfully In Your Home Office

, pajama pants and slippers during a conference call? On the way back, when I thought that the symbol of life in a home office . Ahhh, the joy .

When I started running my home business, but put into reality very quickly!

* Stage of today and a job with a work program have been defined.

* On the day of accountability to a boss is away.


* Opportunities Today at home stuff at home and stuff like that work when the work is finally gone!

In the early days of my business, I would actually feel guilty if the house was immaculate and I spent too much time in the office (based on billable hours). Or I would feel guilty if the house was clean and the laundry was done, but I did not have enough money.

It is just a contractor crazy!

So how do you manage? Here are some tips that have helped to get my mental health in recent years:

1. Create a workspace that works, rather than against you.

If you take more than one room, a corner of the cellar or dining room table, make sure you have a space that is their right to work (if only to work certain hours and eat at another time).

To decide where you want to work, you must first determine how you work.

Do you prefer a lot of space? Are you working with poles or does everything need its own file folder? Do you prefer a clear workspace with nothing but your current project or do you have all the current projects in mind?

Regardless of your style, you need a space that works for you and its just a job.

Second Beware of shiny objects .

With the establishment of the office, do not stop and buy every gadget known to man. It a great temptation to take the best of everything right off the bat Resist the temptation !

Get the basics and add things when there is a need. For my purposes, the basic principles are: a good laptop, multi-line phone Speaker phone and mute, a color laser printer, scanner and fax a separate hard (in addition to my account e-fax). What you need depends on how you can work with clients.

3. Limit chat.

When they hear that you are working from home, many friends and family (especially those at home during the day) will not think to call you or IMing all day, and even if you love to chat or chat with friends and family, be sure they know when you work. It is too easy to fall into the habit of talking to someone and then realize youve spent an hour or more of your work and have not finished the project, or make your calls.

6th Automate, automate, automate.

As far as possible, you want to work from home office, do not run around during the day. As an entrepreneur, business trips and expects to pay. Use technology to your advantage.

7. Go out and visit.


When working on your marketing plan, acquire new customers and more generally to develop your business, its easy to forget the outside world exists.

Make sure you leave your home office (and your PJS) at least once a week. Go anywhere there are people: the gym, a favorite coffee, networking events, hanging out with friends, etc. Its not healthy to become a recluse and you will get many more ideas by mixing with people.

With a little planning, you can create a home office that suits both you and your business.
