I bought this one to replace one that didn't seem to work for me. This one works fine. Definitely shows up where my cat had his "accidents" when he was sick. Even if it isn't pitch black in the room the glow shows up very well. Have never used one of these before but would say this one really did the job I needed it for.

Works fine, does what I need it to do, It does not come with batteries but don't let that not be the reason to buy it, strong and durable, it works very well within a three to four foot area, any more then that you may need something stronger, overall a very nice item.

Unlike some portable blacklights, this model takes easy to find and inexpensive replaceable 3AAA batteries. The light emitted is sufficient to do what I had intended it to do, detect glass that contains radium. With the use of this portable flashlight, the glass shines a beautiful green color.

I purchased this along with UV dye to look for leaks in my fuel system on my truck and it works fine. Seems like good construction, but I have to give it a smack sometimes to make it work fully. Worked good to find my cat's accident areas as well (had to be dark in the house.)
