released its 902MHz RFID paddle reader which provides a smart combination of interfaces for enterprise IT managers who wish to integrate RFID into their systems. This unit is an ideal tool for mobile asset tracking and monitoring, inventory management and for mobile field service applications, such as security monitoring and service level adherence.

This portable RFID paddle reader, model 246004, features easy configuration of audio tones, an LED status indicator and a robust high impact plastic housing. The proximity reader has full read/write functionality for compatible tags; it is compatible with ISO 18000-6b, EPC Class 1 Gen 1 and EPC UHF Gen 2 standard tags. The reader can be used in conjunction with Blue Tooth GPS location devices. The reader has a read rdistance of approximately 1m. It is available with ActiveX controls for Microsoft Windows for easy software integration. Additionally, this reader has a built-in antenna and is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
